Six Producers Win Gambero Rosso’s Three Glass Award

February 16th, 2011  |  Published in DVM

We are always happy to see the efforts of our producers rewarded. This year Gambero Rosso awarded a prestigious Three Glasses to the following wines:

Trebbiano d’Abruzzo ’08 Valentini
Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Cerasuolo ’09 Valentini
Montepulciano d’Abruzzo ’06 Valentini
Besides accomplishing the rare feat of winning Tre-Bicchieri for three wines in the same guide, this year Valentini holds the added distinction of Winery of the Year.

Erbaluce di Caluso La Rustìa ’09 Orsolani
In a victory for unique native varieties, a Three Glass award goes to Gian Luigi Orsolani for his La Rustìa, the first ever dry Erbaluce to receive this distinction.

Collio Bianco Fosarin ’09 Ronco dei Tassi
A true Tre-Bicchieri veteran, Fabio Coser’s classic blend Fosarin is now a six-time winner of the Three Glass award.

Barolo Monvigliero Riserva ’04 Castello di Verduno
Winemaker Mario Andrion has been collecting awards over the last few years. This marks the first Three Glasses for his Monvigliero Riserva.

Soave Cl. Campo Vulcano ’09 I Campi
For the second year in a row, Flavio Pra wins the Tre-Bicchieri for this lovely un-oaked soave.

Nero ’07 Conti Zecca
This groundbreaking blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Negroamaro continues to impress, winning Three Glasses for the 5th time.

We will be taking part in the celebration of these and other great Italian wines at the Tre-Bicchieri tasting this Friday February 18th. Those attending can find us at the Ronco dei Tassi table pouring the 2009 Fosarin with the winemaker’s son Enrico Coser.

While only Ronco dei Tassi and Conti Zecca will be participating in the New York tasting, most of the other wines are available for purchase now. For more information please call 212-679-0822 or email
